Laurel Fire Departments New Engine 81-4 On 5-23-2012 the Laurel Fire Department (Delaware) placed in service a Pierce Arrow-XT Fire Engine. The new unit has a 10’’ raised roof, a Detroit DD-13 450 HP engine, Pierce TAK-4 independent front suspension, Pierce Command Zone advanced electronics and control system, 750 gallon water tank, waterous 1500 GPM pump, Husky 12 Foam with 25 & 20 gallon cells, Harrison 10Kw hydraulic generator and a rear back up camera. It is equipped with a RIT setup and a Holmatro PPU with combi-tool. Engine 81-4 will respond to first due structure fires in 81’s district.
