MVC Involving Motorcycyle 6/8/2013- Ocean City, MD

On the evening of Saturday June 8th, 2013 at approximately 8:30pm, Ocean City Police, Fire and Ems were dispatched for the report of a motorcycle accident in the North Bound lanes of Coastal Highway near 32nd Street. Upon arrival ambulance members found a male subject lying in the roadway. It was reported that his motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and struck a vehicle that was stationary. Gasoline was also reported to be on the roadway, which was controlled by fire crews. Shortly after the accident, a large crowd of onlookers surrounded the area causing issues. As a result, the patient was loaded into the ambulance and taken to the landing zone behind the Jolly Rogers Amusement Park on 33rd Street. The patient was then loaded into Maryland State Police Helicopter "Trooper 4" and was transported to an unspecified trauma center for evaluation and treatment. Police officers remained on scene to conduct an accident reconstruction.
