Fatal Accident - Hebron Maryland
On 7-7-2013 the Wicomico County 911 Center alerted Sta.5 Hebron for a accident with injuries on Rt.50 and the intersection of White Lowe Rd. While in route crews are updated that there would be 4 patients and upgrading the call to a rescue. Paramedic B-5 arrived and performed a quick assessment of the driver of one of the vehicles and decided they would need to do a load and go due to the patients injuries. Command requested an ambulance from Sta.16 Salisbury to respond to assist with transport of the patients. The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced deceased on arrival to Peninsula Regional Medical Center. Rt.50 was shut down to one lane in both directions on a very busy holiday weekend. The Maryland State Police Reconstruction Team is on scene and investigating the cause of the accident.
