Controlled Burn - Federalsburg Maryland

On 11-17-2013 the Federalsburg Fire Company held a large controlled burn with some great instructors for live fire interior training. The day started off with a breakfast held at the Sta.100 Federalsburg. Departments on hand were Federalsburg, Denton, Preston, Seaford and Easton. Once on scene crews set up two aerial trucks and quite a few supply lines from tankers. Truck crews performed some roof operations before the burn. The instructors took the firefighters who were going to be doing the live fire training inside for a walk through so they knew the layout of the house. Instructors did about 10 burns upstairs and then about 6 downstairs before allowing the house to burn. Crews learn a lot of great skills from the trainers.
