On 12-4-2013 the Seaford Fire Department was alerted for an accident at the intersection of Stein Highway & Chapel Branch Rd west of town. While en route Sussex EOC advised units that they were responding to head on collision with the drivers of both vehicles trapped and one car on fire. Command requested a rescue truck & ambulance to assist from Sta.71 Blades. Crews were able to free the drivers in about 20 minutes. Both patients were transported in serious condition to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital for treatment. The roadway was shut down for 2 hours during the alarm.
