Scott William Hammond, 40, of Salisbury passed away suddenly at his home Saturday Dec. 28, 2013. Born in Salisbury, he was the beloved son of the late Bradley Hammond and Judy Webster of Tyaskin. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother June Dickerson Helms.
Scott attended James M. Bennett High School, was a plumber by trade and often helped many people in his community. He was currently employed by Southern Boys Concepts of Salisbury. He was a dedicated member of 26 years of the West Side Volunteer Fire Department, where he currently served as deputy chief. Scott's passions were hunting and fishing. Scott had a contagious smile that brightened everyone's day. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
Scott is survived by his mother, Judy Webster, and husband, Bob, of Tyaskin; three daughters, Taylor Marie Hammond and her mother, Ginger, of Hebron, Destiny Lynn and McKenzie and their mother, Katie Hammond, all of Tyaskin; a sister, Stephanie Hammond of Salisbury; two aunts, Julia Chevalier of Salisbury and Stephanie Helms Taylor of Baltimore; uncle, Willie Helms of Cambridge and Joseph Dickerson of Bivalve, whom he dearly loved like a father; special cousins Michael and Jason Chevalier and Chris Helms; and a host of cousins, family and friends.
