Late reported- On 2/18/14 at 0900 hours Kent County 911 alerted Station 43 (Cheswold), Rescue Company 53 (Leipsic) and Ladder Company 46 (Dover) for a working house fire. Command 43 arrived on scene at 0906 hours reporting heavy fire on he alpha side. Engine 43-2 arrived shortly after that and multiple handlines were placed in service interior to make a push on the fire. Units arriving after assisted with suppression, searches, ventilation and overhaul. The fire was brought under control at 1043 hours and command advised that all units would be working for an extended period of time on overhaul. In all, 7 companies responded to the fire. Those companies were- Cheswold Vol. Fire Co., Leipsic Vol. Fire Co., Dover Fire Department, Citizens Hose Co. (Smyrna), Clayton Fire Co., Hartly Vol. Fire Co. and Little Creek Vol. Fire Co.
