On My 1st thru the 3rd the Delmarva Firemen's Association met in Pocomoke City, MD.
Pastor Bob Hudson, of Millsboro, was sworn in as the new President at the Friday evening banquet. Other highlights included John Lattomus being presented a donation from the Past Presidents of the Ladies Auxiliary towards the DelawareBurn Camp. Honors were given to Miss Fire Preventon Hunter Van Reenan, of St. Michaels, MD as well as Little Miss Fire Prevention Paige West, of Gumboro, Delaware.
At the banquet Delaware members honored with installation in the Hall of Fame included Ron Hurst, of Greenwood, Lynn Bullock of Millsboro and Warren Jones of Elsmere and Rehoboth Beach. Kim Figgs of Delmar was accepted into the Ladies Hall of Honor.
Maryland members honored were Kevin Carr of Rescue Fire Co., of Cambridge, Charles Wrigt of Taylors Island Fire Co. and J.B. Teider, of Taylors Island.
Virginia members honored with the Hall of Fame were Robert Lappin, of Chincoteague and Bruce Holland of New Church Fire and Rescue.
The parade took place on Saturday with Easton, Maryland beng named the Best Appearing Company Overall. Best Appearing Virginia Company was Greenbackville. Laurel was the Best Appearing Delaware Company.
