On 6-6-2014 the Seaford Fire Department was alerted along with Sussex Co Paramedics and DSP Trooper-2 for a accident with rescue at the intersection of Conrail Rd and Hearn’s Pond Rd. Command 87-21 (Brian Truitt) arrived on scene to find a two vehicle accident with four people trapped in a passenger car and one vehicle continued off the roadway and collided into a fence. Rescue 87 arrived and removed all four doors off the vehicle. Command requested 3 extra EMS units to the scene from Sta.72 Bridgeville, Sta.71 Blades and Sta.81 Laurel. Safety Officer 87-15 (Curt Purse) secured a landing zone for Trooper-2 in a nearby yard. Medics attended to the injured and transported all patients to by ground to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford for treatment. Seaford’s Fire Police shut down the roadway during the alarm. The Delaware State Police is investigating the cause of the accident.
