Wednesday, June 18, 2014

6/18/14- At around 0430 hours the Felton Community Fire Company and Caroline County Stations 600 (Greensboro) and 700 (Goldsboro) were alerted for a working house fire.  48-20 arrived first and confirmed a working alarm with a 2 story dwelling fully involved.  Engine 48-4 was the first engine on scene under the direction of Asst. Chief Schulties.  48-4 placed two handlines in service and command was transfered to Asst. Chief Schulties who requested a tanker company response out of Station 50 (Harrington).  The lines from 48-4 handled the alpha delta corner and the charlie delta corner.  Upon the arrival of 48-1 an additional handline was placed in service on the alpha bravo corner.  Crews worked for close to an hour to bring the fire under control.  Units remained on scene for another hour knocking down hot spots and getting their units back in service.  -Robin Andino
