On 8-19-2014 the Dorchester 911 Center alerted Sta.26 Eldorado Brookview for an accident with rescue near the 6000 block of Eldorado Rd. Chief 26 arrived to find a farm type tractor-trailer off the roadway that had collided with a pick up truck that was pulling a trailer with farm equipment. The pickup truck had become lodge to the front of the tractor-trailer with the driver heavily trapped. Command requested rescue units from Sta.100 Federalsburg, Sta.6 Hurlock and Sta.14 Sharptown. The “Go-Team” from Shock Trauma in Baltimore was picked up and flown to the scene due to injuries and the position the driver was trapped. Ground crews were able to free the driver before Trooper-1 could land with the Go-Team. Crews worked for nearly 35 minutes to free the driver of the pick up that was later packaged and flown to PRMC in Salisbury for treatment. The Maryland State Police DOT was on scene and investigating the cause of the accident.
